The Mac app
The current Snaprail app keeps screenshots, imported file copies, and workspace metadata on your Mac. Imported originals remain at their source locations. Shortcut and clipboard-import preferences are stored in macOS preferences, and trial information is stored in macOS Keychain. Snaprail does not offer cloud synchronization.
When you request a screenshot, macOS may ask for Screen Recording permission. Optional automatic clipboard image import is off by default. If you enable it, Snaprail checks for newly copied image data and imports a copy into its local workspace. You can disable this option in the app and manage Screen Recording permission in macOS System Settings.
Retention and control
Workspace items can persist across app restarts. Removing an item requests deletion of its managed copy, but older managed files may remain on disk after items are evicted from the filmstrip or metadata is cleared. We do not claim that these actions erase every local copy. You can review and remove local Snaprail data through macOS; contact us if you need help locating it.
